Helmet

So, I was in the bathroom getting all ready for the day, styling my hair and such...
I was FINALLY not thinking about Roger's up coming "business trip"...
And then, Roger comes strolling into the bathroom like this...
Thanks a lot, Roger... Thanks-A-lot...
Gosh dang it!

Meet the Flintstones

Tonight, a certain little stressed mom decided we needed some fun time tonight to just sit and snuggle, just mom and the kids... So, we made our living room into a movie theater!
So I got us some movie theater snacks and we sat down and watched
But it didn't go as well as I had hoped. Ammon was screaming the entire time so I was trying to get him to calm down the whole time and I ended up ending the movie 20 mins early because Kole had wet himself and had plugged the toilet again so I had to take care of that and the kids were fighting so I decided, it was bed time.
I've been short of patience this week, Kole flooding the house and starting a fire this week, and Abby beating the tar out of Kole, things have been slightly crazy...
We will try for a better day tomorrow... Wish us luck!

The Love Date

This last weekend Roger was in charge of date night.
I was very impressed! He went the extra mile! It was great!
First, we had dinner! Roger made it with some stuff he got from the dollar store!
2 pre-made pizza crusts $1
pizza sauce $1
cheese we already had...
pepperoni $1
And it was yummy!

The drink he made out of some home made berry sherbet he made weeks ago.
He mixed it with some lemon lime soda.

Ammon was as shocked by the activity as I was!

Roger had gotten some banks for us to paint, although these were not just any banks...
Oh no, these are...
The "Love Boat" and the "Love Bug"!
These are for us to put notes to each other in!
How clever is that!? And he had even written me a note! Way to go Roger!
Ammon liked joining in on the nights conversations.

Towards the end of the night Roger came over and got down on his knees and asked me if I would stay married to him. And then he pulled out my wedding ring that has been lost for like 2 or 3 weeks!!
Amy: "You found my ring!? Where was it!?"
Roger: "The Paul's (grocery store) parking lot."
Amy: "You went back and found it!?"
Roger: "No, I saw it as we were getting in the car before we left. So I picked it up and thought, 'I'm gonna teach her a lesson.'. But then I came up with a better idea."
That little stinker was planning to teach me a lesson! Haha!
But my ring is back, and all is well! :)
Thanks for the great date night, Roger!

Gale Tales

Some of the classics... Retold.

There was a young lady who lived in a house that smelled like a shoe.
She had so many children she didn't know what to do.
She gave them some ramen without any bread.
Then she whipped them all soundly and sent them to bed.
(Ok, so not completely accurate. I didn't whip them before sending them to bed.)

Roger's a Winner!

So Roger took all those pictures at the Air Show last weekend and the base had a photo contest for the best air show pictures... So, I entered one!
This one isn't the best quality or anything, but I thought, who could resist a cute little girl flying her toy Thunderbird jet with the real Thunderbirds??
And I guess my thinking paid off, cause Roger won 2nd place!!
Today he (along with the other prize winners) was recognized by the Vice Commander at the Wingman Commanders Call and was given a poster and a folder signed by all the Thunderbird pilots.
Good job Roger, for snapping a picture of our cute little model!

Kole's To-Do List

Kole's To-Do List:

 1. Paint the bathroom brown (take a guess where he got the paint): Check.
2. Clean up self with entire box of wipes: Check.

 3. Flush all the wipes down the toilet: ....Semi-check.

 4. Keep trying to flush them down until the bathroom, half the kitchen, and half of the laundry room are flooded: Check.

 5. Accomplish all this in the ten minutes it takes for mommy to put Ammon down for a nap: Check.

 6. Watch as mommy gets a shocked look on her face, yells "Oh NO!", runs to clean it up while continuing saying, "Oh no. Oh No, No. OH NO, NO, NO!": Check.

 7. Get cleaned up by mommy: Check.

 8. While mommy finishes sterilizing the bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room, go upstairs and paint the upstairs bathroom with soap: Check.

 9. Wash the bathroom sink with the toothbrushes: Check....

Air Show!

Yesterday we went to the air show on base with a bunch of friends.
Here's some pics!
(above) F-15 E's
Top left jet: F-18, and then 2 other Navy jets. I don't know what they are... P.S. Roger got real offended when I mentioned I really liked the F-18's (how dare I like a Navy jet! Traitor!)

Left: Friend Josh, Middle: Amy, Right: Friend Ali, Jet in the background: Some sort of a 135 I think?)

Top jet: Our beautiful Mountain Home AFB F-15 E, Bottom: P-51 I think???

The bottom of them. :)

We also enjoyed some frozen lemonade!

F-16 Thunderbirds!

Abby excitedly watching the show from the shoulders of our friend Vernae and (in front with the camo hat) Vernae's husband Derrick.

Ali and Josh again with Thunderbirds

The next morning with our souvenirs (sunburns), and Abby's F-16 Thunderbird and Kole's Apatchi (I have no idea how to spell it) helicoptor. (Insert joke about Amy's albino skin here). Luckily we had even put sun screen on the kids (yes, that's right, they got that much sunburn even with sun screen on!) and Ammon was in the shaded stroller all day!

It was a lot of fun! Now today we get to watch them from our back yard, as I'm typing this they are rattling the walls of our house!

Potty Trained!

That's right! Kole did it! He's potty trained (knock on wood!)!

The other day I heard Kole say, "I'm going outside." and I looked up to see him walking towards the door dressed like this (above picture). Haha!

I don't know why, but for some reason I find gloves on feet absolutely hilarious!

Cute Kids

So here is a post with some random pics and our date night pics.
First the random pic of Ammon, I thought his sleeping position was cute.

Then here is a pic I took of the sun rising the other day. I went outside to fill the dog food bowls and the sun was rising and it was HUGE and RED! I tried to get a pic that showed it's real color but it didn't work very well.

Here is date night. Well, kind of. It was Roger's turn to do date night... But instead he went shooting with a friend and the kids and I tagged along but spent most of the 2 hour long shooting trip in the car...
And Chance spent it under the car trying to escape the heat

Then we went home and had dinner and we all went to sleep.
So since Roger didn't do date night last Saturday he said he'd do it this weekend. We'll see what he has planned then.

I went to the doctor again today. He said the test results came back, no vitamin deficiencies, and no neck injuries (so no pinched nerve in my neck). He also said he ordered a blood test that could help diagnose MS (I have no idea what that might be.) and he is still waiting for the results back on that. So I guess we'll see what that says. I got an appointment set up for the neurologist too, so I'll see what he can find out.

Frightening Commercial

I saw this commercial for the first time tonight. And to be honest, it scares the crap outta me!
Now, you may think I'm being a dork, but let me just show you why I'm so scared.
This, is what I did to our pancake spatula today when it made me mad because it was blocking me from closing the drawer.... Now, thanks to that commercial I'm afraid the spatula is going to seek revenge on me tonight!

What Became of our Broken Hearted?

We had the our first broken heart at the Gale household.
That's right. Roxy had her first break up.
The neighbor dogs broke into our backyard and played with Roxy and Chance. Roxy and the big dog acted in love and all was going well until they started stealing toys from us, then he tried to take Roxy's ball and that was not something she was ready to share with him. So they got in a little tissy fit fight and then he went back to his yard and the neighbors found the hole and blocked it off. That night Roxy came in the house and went straight to bed, 3 hours earlier than normal. Since then she has been acting very strange for her. We thought she was sick or like the other dog had actually hurt her and we didn't know about it. We were thinking we needed to take her into the vet. Then it hit me! I told Roger, "I think Roxy is heartbroken!" Roger just laughed and said, "Maybe." Suddenly tonight she was immediately acting like her normal self when she came inside the house from a potty break. I looked out back and sure enough, the dogs broke into our backyard again and there sat the love of Roxy's life!
Poor Roxy, breakups are so hard. I'm glad she and her lover dog have been able to work things out.  ;)

Abby Goes to Preschool!

Abby goes to preschool and Amy has a heart attack/breakdown and gets all cheesy and sentimental.
Yeah, that's right, you read that right!
My children have made me a softy! I'm now a crying, sentimental baby!
Here are some pictures of our gorgeous girl (for you to enjoy while listening to a good song), along with her first day of preschool pic!

She's getting so big! Although, I did NOT cry or even have any sweaty eyes or anything. But I took it a lot better than Kole. He definitely had some eye leakage going on when we dropped her off.
