We're Moving!!

I better post this blog now before I get so insanely busy with the moving to our new house that I don't have time! We are going to be moving to a new house with another bedroom! We decided we would just go ahead and upgrade since we don't seem to be moving to another base anytime soon!
Here is our new house!
Isn't she lovely!?
We are so excited! It's a super nice house! I'll have more pictures to come later!
We get the keys May 2nd and will have 2 weeks to get completely out of our old house after that!

Military Wife Survey

I saw this on a friends blog and thought I'd do it too.

1. How long have you been a military wife?
5 years in August.

2. What branch of service is your husband?
United States Air Force.

3. Active/Reserve?
Active Duty.

4. What is his job?
Supply/ Material Management. Basically, the guys who fix the jets come to Roger to get the parts.

5. How many deployments have you gone through?
One. Luckily he has been in a "non-deployable" position for almost 2 years.

6. Camo or Dress uniforms on your man?
Umm... He looks great in both. But I probably prefer his dress blues.

7. What do you like about being a military wife?
Umm... The medical coverage and seeing him in his uniform :)

8. Do you live on base?
For sure.

9. What is your favorite base so far?
So far, Mountain Home, cause this is the only one we've been to. We have been stuck here longer than anyone in our ward (out of the AF families anyway).

10. What is the hardest part of the military life?
The fact that they pick where you live, and when your husband will be gone for weeks/months at a time.

11. Do you go to the grocery store or Commissary?
Usually a grocery store for 2 reasons: 1. The commissary here is closed on Mondays and that is usually when we need to go. and 2. the people that work there scare me... Lol! They act like they hate children, and that is something I'm abundant in.

12. Do you work or stay at home?
I stay at home, that is work in itself!

13. Do you have a lot of military wife friends?
Most of my friends here are military...

14. Do you prefer Walmart or the BX/PX/NEX/MCX?
Usually Walmart... The BX is expensive usually.

15. How did your husband propose?
Well, I had just come home from the East coast and in his bedroom he had a rose there and a poem he had written that asked me to marry him and my ring then we got married like a week later.

16. Did you marry him after he joined or before?
Shortly after he joined... My dad told him "join the Air Force or don't marry Amy".

17. How long have you been together?
Been together for, about 5 1/2 years? I think... And married for 4 1/2 about...

18. Any kids?
3!

19. Any kids yet to come?
Eh, it's possible... Depends on if I can stay sane or not... ;)

20. Is your husband one of those "I am soldier hear me HOOAH" kind of guys?
Umm... He's proud of being in the military.... I guess that is what this question is asking?

21. Have you ever done combatives with your husband?
No...??

22. How many bases have you lived at?
1... For over FOUR years! Time to move us on our way AF!

23. If you could change one thing about the military?
I wish it could be more stable! I hate not being in control and not knowing where we will be in a few months or if my husband will be around in a month or not.

24. Do you like military balls?
Never been to one. The mess dress is expensive and I hate having to find baby sitters.

25. Where does your family live?
Utah.

26. What do you do for a job?
I raise little people and keep a husband under control.

27. Have you ever gotten in a fight with an NCO's wife?
No... I get along with everyone... Unless you count the fact that I fight with myself sometimes and I'm an NCO's wife...

28. Name one thing you do when your husband is gone.
Clean.

29. Do you think other wives do that too?
Uhh... Let's hope so!

Springtime and Bad Moms

While up in Boise for my 2 week postpartum check-up we stopped by the MK Nature Center to enjoy the nice weather. Here are the pictures.
Abby has been begging us to do this owl thing all winter, but it has always been surrounded by mud so now that it was finally dried up she was so excited we let her do it!

He was sure excited over something!

Looking at the fish in the river. You can even see mine and Ammon's reflection above Abby! :)

Abby saw this tree with blossoms on it and said, "Popcorn on the apricot tree!!"

Ammon after his first trip to the nature center. I love this "Lil' Bro" outfit.

Wednesday while Roger was at work we had a rough evening. Kole being the wonderful 2 year old that he is was throwing a tantrum... A BIG tantrum. This tantrum went on for over 2 hours. 2 hours of screaming like he was being murdered. No matter what I did or didn't do he wouldn't calm down. It was insane... I kept waiting for his head to spin around. After 2 hours of this tantrum I started going crazy, lost my temper and started yelling at both Kole and Abby (who was not behaving very well herself). To which Abby replied, "You are not a good mommy." Heartbroken, I felt guilty for yelling and put Kole in his room so I could calm down. After he sat in his room screaming for 10-15 minutes I went in and finally got him calmed down. I couldn't help but think of something I had told a friend a few months ago, when she asked how I do it with 3 kids under 5 and I replied, "Some days it's just survival, I don't do it well, I just do it." That was one of my not done well days.

2 Weeks Old!

We took Ammon to his 2 week check-up today! Can you believe he will be 2 weeks old tomorrow!?
At his check-up he weighed 6lbs 2oz (They just want to make sure they have gained back their birth weight, but Ammon has passed his birth weight of 5lbs 14oz! He is growing good! I must be feeding him straight cream or something!
Here are some more pics of Ammon! :)
He's still used to that "fetal position".
I love this preemie onsie he is wearing, it says, "Party at my crib 2:00am"

Little smile :)

Sweet little profile

His forearms are the size of my thumbs. So tiny :)

I can't believe he is already almost 2 weeks old! :( He's growing up too fast!

I lost...

Today was Roger's first day back to work. When he walked out the door, the battle was on...
The battle of keeping order in the Gale household.
They ganged up on Mommy.
Mommy lost.
What started out as a clean, orderly, house quickly became...

There were several wounds, clothes shed, constant screaming, crying and fighting, lots of urine, furniture moved, and pictures torn off the walls...
The house probably stinks because Roxy, our dog, has a yeast infection in her ear that REEKS (hopefully her new medicine will clear it up fast)! The battle raged on for an hour and a half longer than it was supposed to because Roger got off work late. And Roxy decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood, without a collar, and not come back when called. Thankfully, my wonderful visiting teacher brought over dinner, because I had no fight left in me at that point.
Phew, I'm ready for a nap! Battle #2 starts tomorrow. May the force be with me.
(P.S. This post is not a complaint. This is strictly me finding the humor in today and posting it for all you who have "been there" to laugh at.)

Staff Sergeant Gale!

This post is a bit late, but I've been a little busy...
On March 31st we were able to all go (with my parents there to help me out with the kids) to Roger's promotion ceremony!
Here are the pictures!
The family! (When Abby says "cheese" it looks more like she is scowling or something)
Roger getting his certificate!

Since I had just had a c-section a few days earlier, I was still too sore to go up and tack on Roger's stripes (basically punch him) so he asked my dad and a coworker to do it. I am still waiting on a copy of that picture from the base photographer, so I will just post it with my next post.

Hope all is well with all of you!
