Teeth, Longboards, and Buses!

Ammon just popped his top 2 front teeth and is working on 2 more on the bottom (the ones right next to the 2 front bottom teeth)... Lately he has gotten an obsession with his abnormally long tongue. He always has it sticking out and is grabbing it.

Kole has picked up a new hobby... Long boarding.

Abby and Kole were eating Popsicles the other day and I overheard their conversation. Abby said, "I love you, Kole." and Kole replied, "And I love you." It was so cute!

Shortly before Abby and Kole had that conversation, my mom and dad were having a disagreement, my dad left the room and Abby asked my mom what was wrong. My mom replied, "I'm just not very happy with Grandpa right now." Abby then said, "You have to be happy with what God gave you."

Dragon Rider!

I am just loving this stage that Ammon is at! It seems that every day he learns something new!

I love in this picture how he looks like he's saying something like, "I wasn't pulling every toy out of the toy box, I swear!"

My parent's have this little dragon rocker thing and he has just learned how to ride it.



Abby's First Day

Abby went to her first day of preschool here!

She rode on the bus! And Grandma rode with her to school, cause she was a little shy...

We got a call from Abby's teacher telling us how the day went. Abby did good! At story time they were picking out a book and Abby said, "I only like books with unicorns in them."... This is one of those random and not necessarily true things she says... They also have mats they sit on during story time and they have certain animals on their mats so they know which mat is theirs. Abby was sitting on a dog mat and she said, "I like birds better." so the teacher offered her a bird one but she just sat on the dog one anyway.

Also, Ammon is now able to stand for a split second.



Kid Updates/Pics

Well, here we are... The kids and I are taking this deployment a lot better than I anticipated... I'm sure that is only because we are living with my parents and sister instead of being home alone.

Ammon is getting really good at standing up to things and shouldn't be far off from standing by himself completely. He is getting better at walking along things and creating a path of destruction, also.

Kole, hasn't changed a whole lot... He's possibly gotten more clingy to me, and gotten to be more of a pest to everyone, constantly teasing them/pushing their buttons... Which he finds much more funny than the rest of us...

Abby hasn't changed much either. As you can tell by her picture, she has refused to look at cameras since the night she said goodbye to Roger. She will be starting preschool and speech therapy at the elementary school here this week, she even gets to ride the bus!

The kids got to talk to Roger on skype, for the first time since he left, today. They had a good time making faces at him and telling him "just one more thing" whenever it was time to say goodbye to him.

I had a rough time at first, but then I got a awful cold and so that helped take my mind off things. There really is something to be grateful for in all things, even illness... I'm still sick, as are the kids. I'm usually ok with things, I only have a hard time sleeping alone, but that might get better as time marches on and hopefully the nightmares lessen.

Roger is doing fine. He doesn't say much about anything, I'm not sure if that's because he doesn't want to, or because he's not supposed to, or what.... He also mentioned that while he was in Kuwait on his way to Qatar, he had to ride in a vehicle off base, when I asked him what Kuwait looked like he said, "I don't know, we had to keep the blinds over the vehicle windows the whole ride." When I asked why he said, "So we wouldn't get shot at." Thankfully they didn't hit any roadside bombs either.

So other than the sickness the kids and I have been alright. We are removing a link from our chain every night and it's starting to look shorter. Only like 5.8 months to go! Unless it gets extended that is...

He Made It!

Just a quick update.

I finally got to talk to Roger tonight! Yay!

He was sent to Kuwait and left there... But he finally made it to Qatar and is getting settled in.

Where in the World is Carmen San D-Daddy??

We don't know. When he left Idaho he flew to Georgia, then to Virginia. From Virginia he was supposed to fly to Iceland. I didn't hear from him after he left Virginia. All we know is, that somewhere along the way he was sent to the wrong place. So WHERE in the world is he??

We were looking at a globe and Kole says he thinks Roger is in Russia.

Abby says she thinks Roger is in Ice Age... (aka Iceland).

But we don't know.

Hopefully we hear from him soon.
