Days until Christmas

With Roger's leaving date and Christmas approaching fast, guess which one we are getting ready for?
Nope, that's not a decorative chain for our Christmas tree... That is our countdown chain... A link for each day daddy is scheduled to be gone.
Yes, with Christmas quickly approaching, it is the last thing on our mind now days...
We will be busy moving and saying goodbye to daddy, who has time to celebrate??

Ammon Gets a Tooth and We Get Out!

So I just noticed yesterday, that Ammon has a tooth about to pop through! Normally, I think people find that sort of thing exciting, not me. I'm bummed about it. I always think it's sad when babies lose their cute little baby gums and get a tooth. It just makes them seem like they aren't baby-babies anymore.
Anyway...
It just occured to me that I don't think I've said anything on our blog about us getting out of the Air Force! I might have to change our blogs URL to airreservegales instead of airforcegales.
And yes, we have heard about every arguement against this that there is.
We know how crappy the economy is, etc. etc.
But basically, we have prayed and prayed and prayed about it, we didn't get an answer right away so Roger started turning in paperwork to get out. He said that after he turned it in he felt very good about it and there is no doubt in his mind that it's the best thing for us to do. I feel good about it too, except for when people give us a difficult time... Then I start stressing for a day or so. But we feel it's what Heavenly Father wants us to do, so unless you can argue with God.........
Anyway, Roger has several different directions and options to do. I have made him come up with about 100,000 "back-up plans". This has been very well thought through, this is not a spur of the moment decision. If you have helpful ideas for us, that's great, we appreciate hearing them.

Big Grump & Little Devil

Ok here is what this post is really about...

I've been really ornery lately for no good reason. When we pulled into the driveway after church today I saw my (once pretty, young and vibrant) Jackie-lantern and I said, "Hey look! Even my pumpkin has turned into an ornery old hag. Roger laughed and admitted he was thinking the same thing, but wasn't going to say it.

And then there is Kole....
Today, as we were walking out the door to go to church, Kole said, "UGH! DADDY! ARE YOU SERIOUS!? EVERY WEEK! EV-ERY WEEK!".... (He was talking about how we were waiting on Roger...)

Then after church I was in the living room and I hear Kole and Roger in the bathroom and Roger was getting mad at him for something. Roger spanked him, then I heard Kole laugh a deep, evil type laugh and say, "Again! Again! (evil laugh)". I sure wish we could find SOME form of discipline that worked with this kid!

Up To No Good

I went to lay Ammon down for a nap the other day... Was gone for 5-10 minutes.
Then came down to find Abby and Kole... Shockingly... Up to no good.

What is that all over the floor?? That would be about 6 pounds of food storage...
Mommy made them vacuum it up... They laughed and thought it was fun... Not exactly a good lesson... So, mommy went all crazy and said, "You make my food garbage, I make your toys garbage." And then mommy picked up a ton of toys and threw them away.

Happy Halloween a little early!

The kids with our jack-o-lanterns

Tonight we went to our church's dinner/trunk-or-treat
Aren't our kiddos cute?! Abby is Tinkerbell, Ammon is a silly monkey, and Kole is Thomas the train!

Pumpkin Patch

Today Roger had the day off because he has a few "comp. days" for getting a 91% on his CDCs test (Career Development Course) and 90% on his PT test (Physical Training).
So we went to 'Quey's Maze' pumpkin patch.
P.S. anyone wanting a patch to go to, they are really awesome! I'm glad we switched to them this year!

They have a huge thing of oats to play in!

And they have a corn box!

We picked some pumpkins!

We played in the hay maze!

And the total for the fun... $1 entrance fee (included all the things pictured)
And $15 for...
9 pumpkins
1 little white pumpkin
and 1 yummy casaba melon!
It was a lot of fun! Thanks to farmer Quey, his family and farm!

Oh Deer!

Saturday we went up to go grocery shopping in Boise, and had some family too!
We went to the MK Nature Center and when we pulled up there was 3 deer sitting right at the enterance to the walk!

And of course we had to get our normal picture of the hooting little owls!

And a cute picture of our cuties with the changing leaves!
Aren't they cute!?!
