He Made It!

Just a quick update.

I finally got to talk to Roger tonight! Yay!

He was sent to Kuwait and left there... But he finally made it to Qatar and is getting settled in.

Where in the World is Carmen San D-Daddy??

We don't know. When he left Idaho he flew to Georgia, then to Virginia. From Virginia he was supposed to fly to Iceland. I didn't hear from him after he left Virginia. All we know is, that somewhere along the way he was sent to the wrong place. So WHERE in the world is he??

We were looking at a globe and Kole says he thinks Roger is in Russia.

Abby says she thinks Roger is in Ice Age... (aka Iceland).

But we don't know.

Hopefully we hear from him soon.

Goodbye Daddy!

Since the kids will be asleep when Roger leaves, so they said their goodbyes tonight.

Abby is unhappy with Roger for leaving so she wouldn't look at the camera.

TLF

Well, here we are in the TLF (Temporary Living Facility).

We have gotten everything moved out of the house and today it is getting cleaned and we will be there shampooing carpets this evening. Then some last minute touches tomorrow (if there are any), and the final inspection is on Thursday. Then we can just have some family time for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and then Roger will leave (They changed his leaving date, so now he will get to spend Christmas day with us!). It's still sad to think that he will be leaving so soon though. being so busy with moving, we haven't had a chance to think about it. We'll be ok though. We'll just really miss him.

So, yesterday, Abby asked if we could make a birthday cake for daddy!

Even though his birthday isn't until Jan. 6th, he won't be here for it, so I decided that making him a cake would be fun! So the kids and I got to work!

Abby wanted to make a cake with 3 tiers, cover it in frosting, and use molding chocolate to make animals for the top of it... I guess I've been watching too much 'Cake Boss'. I didn't agree to go as extravagant as she wanted, but we did make a layered frosted one.

When daddy got home from work, we had dinner on the table waiting for him, after we all ate, we had him close his eyes while we brought out the cake, lit the candles, and then he opened his eyes and we sang to him! He was very surprised!!

Look at that bonfire! Old man! ;)

Ammon's Magical Power & Pics

So I am fully convinced that Ammon has a magical power! I'm being completely serious right now!

His magical power is that he makes people happy! I don't know ANYONE that doesn't have their day brightened by him. The second he flashes his dazzling smile people just melt! Even in Walmart he flashed a smile at a cashier at the end of her shift and she commented how he just made her night all better! I mean, just LOOK at him!

And just look at the cool colors in his eye on the left. (No, that isn't a reflection.)
