I lost...

Today was Roger's first day back to work. When he walked out the door, the battle was on...
The battle of keeping order in the Gale household.
They ganged up on Mommy.
Mommy lost.
What started out as a clean, orderly, house quickly became...

There were several wounds, clothes shed, constant screaming, crying and fighting, lots of urine, furniture moved, and pictures torn off the walls...
The house probably stinks because Roxy, our dog, has a yeast infection in her ear that REEKS (hopefully her new medicine will clear it up fast)! The battle raged on for an hour and a half longer than it was supposed to because Roger got off work late. And Roxy decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood, without a collar, and not come back when called. Thankfully, my wonderful visiting teacher brought over dinner, because I had no fight left in me at that point.
Phew, I'm ready for a nap! Battle #2 starts tomorrow. May the force be with me.
(P.S. This post is not a complaint. This is strictly me finding the humor in today and posting it for all you who have "been there" to laugh at.)

Staff Sergeant Gale!

This post is a bit late, but I've been a little busy...
On March 31st we were able to all go (with my parents there to help me out with the kids) to Roger's promotion ceremony!
Here are the pictures!
The family! (When Abby says "cheese" it looks more like she is scowling or something)
Roger getting his certificate!

Since I had just had a c-section a few days earlier, I was still too sore to go up and tack on Roger's stripes (basically punch him) so he asked my dad and a coworker to do it. I am still waiting on a copy of that picture from the base photographer, so I will just post it with my next post.

Hope all is well with all of you!

Ammon!!!

Introducing Ammon Isaiah!
Born March 26th (3 and a half weeks early)!
5 Lbs 14 Oz!

Ah, sleep!

Leaving the hospital!

We are so happy to have him here and so happy he is healthy!
We have the sweetest family in the world! We are SO blessed!
Life is beautiful!!
A special thanks to my parents for coming up and helping out with everything!
It would have been a lot harder without their help!

Still A-round

Yep, that's right... I'm still a-round.... A-BIG-round...

36 Weeks.
I think I'm done... At least I feel done anyway...
For now, the medication they have me on is keeping my contractions from getting too strong.

We'll keep you all updated.
A few weeks ago when I wasn't on bed rest we took the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese.
Abby likes it there, but Kole thought it was the coolest place EVER!

Abby put Roger's hat on Roxy.

Blueberry pancakes are Kole's favorite food!
Would you believe this boy can eat 6-10 medium sized pancakes in one sitting?!

He arranged some books in his bed and insisted on sleeping on top of them...
How is that really comfortable?

Hope all is well with all of you!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get to the store to get all the things for the fun stuff I wanted to do for St. Patrick's Day, so I kind of just made do with what we had. Also, I have been trying to stay down as much as possible so I didn't get to make any fun sugary treats with the kids.
But here is what we did do.

(Please excuse the interesting looks on Abby's face in all of these pictures... She wasn't having a very photogenic day... Haha!)
Hard to see in this picture, but the leprechauns turned our milk green!

We made us some little green bracelets (Abby drew leprechauns on hers)

Of course we had to make Roxy a green collar cause we didn't want anyone pinching her!
Collar complete with a shamrock and pot of gold!

Today our water magically turned green as we poured it into the glass!
As you can see, the water in the pitcher is clear and once poured into the glass, MAGIC!

This wasn't all the fun I planned on having but it was still a good day.

In my last post I mentioned how nothing had changed with us... I guess I spoke too soon.
Monday and Tuesday evenings/ half the nights were spent at Labor & Delivery. Monday night I was having contractions 1-3 minutes apart and they had to give me a shot to slow them down. They were back the same on Tuesday and after they gave me a shot and some medicine to try and stop them, they got them slowed down to small ones every minute apart. They sent me home with more medicine to try and keep the contractions under control. So far they haven't gotten better, or worse, but my body is getting physically exhausted and my belly and back feel like they could crumble into pieces at any moment... The doctor said he wants to get me to 36 weeks if we can because that would cut down the chances of Ammon having to go to the NICU by 50%. So for now, that is what we are trying for. We just want him here safe and sound.
Hope all is well with all of you! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Pop goes the Amy

It's been a while! Ok, so I guess it hasn't been too long.... Just a longer time than I normally go without posting. Let's see, what has happened with the Gales? Not a whole lot... They are still keeping an eye on my blood pressure but other than that, nothing has changed. My main reason for this post was to just show my newest belly picture... So here it is!

Looking large and ready to pop at 35 weeks.
Supposed to have 5 more weeks to stretch until my due date. But only 4 more weeks to stretch until my scheduled c-section.

March!

Check out this cute picture the kids and I made for St. Patrick's Day!

We had some leprechauns running loose around our house!!
For this we just had the kids make their hands into fists, put paint on the pinkie finger side of the fist and stamped it onto the paper. Then used their fingers to put on the toe prints. Then used a Q-tip to make little 4-leaf clovers in the corners.
I can't wait for St. Patrick's Day! I have a lot of fun things planned!
I'm so glad March is finally here! 6 weeks from right now I should be in the hospital holding my newest little man! Yesterday we had to go into my doctor's office because I was having some not so great symptoms and they wanted to check me for preeclampsia (what I had with Abby's pregnancy, basically high blood pressure). And sure enough, my blood pressure is creeping up and it will only head up until after Ammon is born. My doctor is out of town and his partner was at the hospital delivering some babies, so the nurse was going to talk to him when he got back to the office to see what he wanted to do. As of right now though, I'm back on bed rest.
Hope all is well with all of you! Happy March!
