Tonight as I sit thinking with a one year old who won't sleep and a day that has been spent "hugging the john" with "morning" sickness I am overcome with emotion. It is unbelievable how blessed I am. Don't get me wrong, my life hasn't always been a basket full of peaches. But I have been so blessed through all of it.
It's unbelievable how obvious it is that I have been watched over and protected throughout my life. Even in my wild days, I was kept safe and guided to the beautiful life I have now. Roger and I were undoubtedly guided to each other and we have been blessed with 6 children (2 of which were miscarried and 1 of which we hope to see in April). My cup runneth over.
I have no doubt of my Heavenly Father's, and Jesus' love for us. I feel it daily. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I want to be. I am not defined, or confined by it. I live it's teachings because I know it is true and I have been without it and I know how incredibly awful that was. I live it because it makes me happy. It's unbelievable the difference Roger and I experienced in our marriage when we started to live it's teachings. It has made a world of difference. It helps me become the me I want to be. It encourages and strengthens me every second I'm awake.
I can not describe in words what the gospel of Christ means to me.
The Lord is my Shepherd; no want shall I know.
I feed in green pastures; safe-folded I rest.
He leadeth my soul where the still waters flow,
Restores me when wandering, redeems when oppressed.
In the midst of affliction my table is spread.
With blessings unmeasured my cup runneth over.
With perfume and oil thou anointest my head.
Oh, what shall I ask of thy providence more?
